Donation Terms and Conditions

Our Item-Only Donation Policy

The Shayama Prasad Sports Foundation (SPSF) accepts only physical item donations, not monetary contributions. Our mission is to directly connect donors with recipients through tangible equipment and materials.

At SPSF, we believe in the direct impact of physical donations. When you donate sports equipment, educational materials, or technology items, you're providing immediate, tangible support to a young person in need. This approach ensures transparency and creates a meaningful connection between donors and recipients.

How Your Donations Help

Your donated items directly support our participants in several ways:

  • Sports Equipment: Enables athletes to train and compete with proper gear, reducing injury risk and improving performance
  • Technology Items: Provides access to digital learning tools, coding resources, and innovation platforms
  • Educational Materials: Supports academic development alongside athletic training
  • Sports Clothing: Ensures participants have appropriate attire for training and competition

Direct Support Model

Our donation system is designed to create direct connections between donors and recipients:

  1. Identify Needs: We identify specific equipment and material needs of our participants
  2. Connect Donors: Donors can choose to provide these specific items either by donating used items in good condition or purchasing new ones
  3. Direct Delivery: Items go directly to the participants who need them, with SPSF facilitating the process
  4. Impact Updates: Donors receive updates about how their donations are making a difference

Donation Acceptance Criteria

To ensure the quality and usefulness of donations, we accept items that meet the following criteria:

  • Items must be in good, usable condition
  • Sports equipment must be safe and functional
  • Technology items should be in working order and reasonably current
  • Educational materials should be relevant and in good condition
  • Clothing items should be clean and without significant wear

SPSF reserves the right to decline donations that do not meet our quality standards or do not align with current participant needs.

Alternative Ways to Support

If you don't have items to donate but still wish to support our participants, we encourage:

  • Direct Purchasing: Buy needed items from our participant wishlist and have them delivered directly
  • Volunteer Time: Contribute your skills and time as a coach, mentor, or event organizer
  • Corporate Partnerships: Engage your company in equipment drives or sponsorship of specific program needs
